Deep Sky Observatory

In August 2002, I started the backyard observatory project.  I wanted to keep the cost down, but at the same time make a nice structure to block wind and be able to keep the telescope in a safe place during the 2 weeks around new moon. There is no roof yet so I just cover everything to protect the equipment from dust and mositure.  Southern Arizona is mostly rain free except from July to September when the summer storms are around.
